Newsletter Volume 8, no. 2, Study Questions
You must answer the questions in complete sentences. How do you know if it is a
complete sentence? You must give enough information from the question so that the
teacher can understand your answer without having to look up the question.
If you using quotations from the story as part of your answer, those quotations
should be in “quotation marks”
1. How long do the hottest days of summer last in the Arizona desert? When does it
usually start, and when does it usually end?
2. Where does Gordo usually live? What does she do when she visits Frank’s front
yard in the afternoon?
3. Why is this behavior not unusual in Cedar Rapids. What other animals can you
expect to see? Use quotations from the story in your answer.
